PAMELA'S OBITUARY
Pamela Marie Jones-Simpson, 56, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020, in Longview, Texas, due to complications from Covid-19. Pamela Marie Jones-Simpson was born on October 2, 1964, in Center, Texas, to Elbert Davis Jones and Patsy Marie Leach-Jones. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1983. Pamela furthered her education at Panola College, graduating in 1994, Cum Laude with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. She was a strong-minded woman and battled many illnesses since the age of 23. Pamela never gave up and fought the good fight, right until she took her last breath. She was a member of Pine Grove Assembly Church.

She is survived by, "the children of her heart", her nieces and nephews, Kelsey Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Marah Jones, Marissa Jones, Sky Bishop, and Jeremiah Jones; her parents, Bro. Elbert and Patsy Jones; her brother, Elbert Dewayne Jones; the love of her life, David Lore; and many other loved ones.

We remember Pamela who partnered with her dad, Elbert in their effort to help host the Texas Open several years in McKinney, TX when Faye Mounger Harvell was the District 8 Manager. Later Pamela continued to help organize the Texas Open with her dad, Elbert when he become the D8 Manager and held the tournament in Carthage, TX.
